What a typical re-roof includes
The exact specification is agreed for each property, but a complete replacement can include removal of the existing tiles or slates, old battens and underlay; inspection of the roof structure; new breathable membrane; treated battens; new roof covering; ridge, verge and valley systems; and associated leadwork.
Materials and detailing
We work with common concrete and clay tiles, slates and compatible dry-fix systems. The tile choice, gauge, ventilation provision, fixings and weathering details are matched to the roof rather than treated as an afterthought.
Scaffolding, skips and waste
Where required, access is provided from suitable scaffolding and stripped material is removed using skips or appropriate waste arrangements. Practical details such as scaffold position, material delivery and waste collection are agreed before the start date.
Guarantee and handover
Completed work is handed over with the agreed written guarantee. Any additional work identified after strip-off is discussed and agreed before it proceeds.
